Another great time was had by all camping at Echo Bend Camping Park, Glenaladale, for the Melbourne Cup long weekend.
There were a number of locals travelling from not too far – Bairnsdale, Sale and others from Traralgon – as well as further afield such as Mornington Peninsula, Melbourne, Geelong and even the United Kingdom.
Chris and Hazel Bradish enjoyed their four nights over the Melbourne Cup long weekend. They are visiting Australia for six months catching up with their sons, one in Melbourne and the other in Sydney, so Echo Bend was an ideal stop over location.
Traveling in their motorhome, they based themselves at Echo Bend and enjoyed the Aussie weather and a dip in the Mitchell River on Sunday when the weather warmed up.
They booked in early arriving Thursday where they had the tranquility of the camp park to themselves, finding the ideal spot with a little bit of shade and were able to have a fire in the evenings, sit back and watch the camp park fill over Friday and the weekend.
