The South Pines Golf Club ran a very successful three-day RSL tournament last weekend, with the committee and members working hard to ensure a smoothly-run event.
Friday’s 4BBB medley was well supported with 32 players tackling the picturesque course at Lindenow South, with some great scores recorded.
The winners for the day were Bruce Fraser and Mark Troake (49 points), finishing ahead of Mark Mason and Graeme Caddy (45) and Marcelle Harrap and Miles Malcolm (44).
Things ramped up on Saturday with the individual stableford events.
The hard-working Brett Wyllie (men’s) and Chris Neate (ladies) were the winners of the RSL Shields, with scores of 40 and 42 respectively.
The winners in the men’s division were Trevor Cotton (38) and Fred Woodward (40), with Connie Meade (38) the women’s divisional winner.
The event culminated on Sunday with the playing of the 4BBB event, with the RSL Shield Winners being Bernadine Nunn and Matthew Allan with an impressive 40 points.
Division one was won by Trevor and Hayley Cotton (49), with division two going to Brenda and Ralph Wall (48).
South Pines Golf Club was delighted with how the event ran and of the continued support of the RSL.
