East Gippsland United Football Club, up and coming star, Hirahni Hudson has been selected for an overseas soccer adventure of a lifetime.
Hirahni is a 15-year-old mad-keen soccer player and has recently been invited to attend the Barca Academy Football Clinic this later this month in Barcelona, Spain.
The Eagles star is one of only two girls selected for the November-December 2024 under 16s mixed (boys & girls) competition invited to attend.
After being introduced to Summer sevens in October 2023, Hirahni was encouraged by coaches to try out for the 2024 East Gippsland United Football Club representative side that plays in the Latrobe Valley Soccer League.
She was successful in gaining her spot in the team and with her natural talent, position versatility, commitment to training and endurance resulted in her being awarded the club’s coaches award, at the annual presentation night.
During the September school holidays, Hirahni spent five days crafting her techniques and immersing herself in the Barca Academy methodology based on the H.E.A.R.T (Humility, Effort, Ambition, Respect & Teamwork) concept, capturing the attention of the coaching and scout recruitment team.
This is a life-changing opportunity and a gofundme page has been set up to assist with costs.
