There’s plenty of excitement at Lucknow Primary School, with the senior boys and girls volleyball teams through to the State finals in Dandenong on November 23.
The sides recently competed in the Regional Volleyball Championship in Newborough, after being successful at district and division levels locally.
The boys team played extremely well, showing excellent teamwork, sportsmanship and camaraderie, scoring two convincing wins on the day, making them regional champions.
The girls team won their first game in straight sets; however, their second match was a thrilling three setter, in which they were narrowly second match and painstakingly defeated.
The decision on who would be the regional champions came down to the counting sets, with all teams locked on a single win, with Lucknow getting the nod.
The whole school community at Lucknow Primary School are incredibly proud of the students, and right behind them as they chase the coveted State title.
