Last weekend’s 137th annual Omeo and District Show was a resounding success, with ongoers enjoying a day in the sunshine.
A local tradition since 1885, the Omeo Show, which this year ran from Friday, November 16, to Sunday, November 17, has always been one of the biggest events on Omeo’s calendar, and this year was no different, with something for everyone including horse events, kids entertainment, face painting, tug of war, whip cracking and wood chopping.
The fun didn’t end with the show – there was also a special one-time screening at the Omeo Memorial Hall of movie, Anytime, which centres around the world’s best extreme free-riding mountain bikers across forests, deserts and alpine peaks.
