The last Victorian International Miniature Aerobatic Club event for the year was held in Wangaratta last weekend, with some great results achieved by the Bairnsdale and District Model Aero Club.
The Wangaratta Aeromodellers did an outstanding job after a very sudden change of plan to move it from Albury.
The local club was well represented in the event.
Despite the quick change, most pilots still managed to attend what was a very successful and well run competition, with three doubles and an unknown completed on Saturday.
There was no flying on Sunday due to thunderstorms and rain taking up most of the morning.
Young Bairnsdale pilot, Darcy Wilson had an outstanding weekend, winning the advanced and freestyle, whilst Will Mackenzie came second in basic class and third in the freestyle. Glenn Mackenzie came third in basic class.
All awards were presented by the Australian Scale Aerobatics Association president Ricardo Bertuna.
