History, est 1858 The Lakeview Hotel is a landmark in Merimbula with a history tied to the town's early development as a port. The original building opened it's doors in 1858 but was later destroyed by a fire in 1930. The new building was constructed on the same site and reopened in 1931. The Lakeview you see today has changed over the years but remains a cornerstone of the community in it's prime location on the edge of the lake.
