Sapphire Coast

2 SAPPHIRECOAST - SPRING 2024 With its warm, sunny days and clear blue skies, spring is an ideal time to explore the natural beauty of the NSW Sapphire Coast. In this edition, we'll be travelling right around the Sapphire Coast, from Beowa National Park in the South, all the way north to Bermagui. Along the way, we'll let you in on the best attractions and activities, including indigenous sites, and the springtime joys of coastal whale-watching and local festivals. We will also head inland to explore some of the region's historic country villages and towns. You'll find there's so much to see and do on the Sapphire Coast, from springtime walking in the diverse array of state and national parks, to boating, fishing, kayaking and countless other water-based activities. Along with being whale-watching season, spring on the Sapphire is also jam-packed with fabulous events, including the Eden Whale Festival, a Quad Crown mountain bike event, the Indigenous Giiyong Festival (both also in Eden), as well as ReBoot in Bermagui, and the continuation of the Four Winds live concert series. And that's just to name a few! With accommodation to suit all budgets and lifestyles, the Sapphire Coast is also rich in eateries, wineries, museums and galleries, as well as farm gate outlets, craft and produce markets, and seaside restaurants offering a wide variety of fresh seafood. As always, in this edition you'll find maps and details of key attractions – including dining and accommodation options, as well as seasonal events – to help you make the most of your Sapphire Coast travels. If you need additional advice or resources during your travels, be sure to stop by the Visitor Information Centres, located in most major towns. We have included contact details for these centres on Page 27 of this feature, and on the same page you'll also find a list of Sapphire Coast markets, which are always well worth a visit. We hope this edition of Sapphire Coast helps you get the most out of your springtime travels in this stunning part of the world. Enjoy!
