Home schooling not just a trend

Interest in home schooling has grown since the coronavirus pandemic.
Across Victoria, about 1500 families reportedly joined home schooling networks as COVID restrictions plagued the country.
In East Gippsland, the trend toward the alternative schooling method spiked in popularity in the wake of regular school disruptions.
Locally, in Bairnsdale and surrounding areas, there are now two main home schooling groups boasting more than 200 family registrations.
The Bairnsdale Home Ed CoOperative, which meets weekly at the Clifton Creek Community Hall, has 80 families on the books and is growing.
