Labor's bid for Gippsland

Jannette Langley has put herself forward as the Australian Labor Party’s candidate for the Federal seat of Gippsland.
Mrs Langley, who was raised in the Latrobe Valley, will be pitted against the current sitting member for Gippsland, Darren Chester, at the next Federal election, expected sometime this year, but yet to be announced.
During a visit to Bairnsdale in December, Mrs Langley indicated she was keen to spend more time in East Gippsland to gain an understanding of the issues confronting the region.
She believes that the environment and sustainable jobs are likely to dominate the debate in the lead-up to the election this year.
