Heavy rainfall overnight in Omeo has completely flooded the local caravan park. 

The park was evacuated overnight as the floodwaters continued to rise.

More than 110 millimetres of rain was received within 15 hours.

Mud from the floodwaters entered cabins and lapped at the doorsteps of caravans after the Livingstone Creek, which runs through the park, overflowed.

Park management has now cancelled all visitors due to arrive.

“The park is now closed,” Sandi Beltrame, manager of the Omeo Caravan Park, told the Bairnsdale Advertiser.
