A 40-year-old Lakes Entrance man has been charged with several offences following a spate of cigarette thefts from service stations in East Gippsland.
Police executed a search warrant at a Lakes Entrance address on Thursday, which resulted in the arrest of man.
He was charged with aggravated burglary, burglary, attempted burglary and two counts of theft.
Police allege the man broke into a Stratford service station on November 4 and stole about $10,000 in cigarettes.
Several weeks later on December 29, police allege a person attempted to break in to the same service station in Stratford but was unsuccessful.
