Redlegs come up short

Bairnsdale hosted Sale in a must-win Gippsland League clash at the Bairnsdale Oval on Saturday, however again failed to register its first win of the season.
With both sides winless after the first two rounds, the four points were vital for both sides trying to kick start their season.
Unfortunately for the Redlegs they would go down by 34 points. Bairnsdale made one change bringing in Jake Richards for Simon Deery who has been playing injured for a number of weeks.
Sale went in without Brad Dessent, Kane Martin and Jack Mc- Laren, replacing them with Mitch Brown, Ethan Dyer and Blake Lane for his first game.
Both sides are full of exciting young talent but it was the influence the Sale prime movers - Jack Johnstone, Shannen Lange and Jack Leslie - were going to have that was always going to be the concern for Bairnsdale.
