The construction of the Quest Hotel in Dalmahoy Street has started with the demolition of the old building centre about to start.
The trade drive-through shed will remain and be used by the builder until construction of proposed townhouses.
The Quest Hotel will be three storeys of 60 serviced apartments. The ground floor in addition to the Quest reception area will house allied health activities where this consolidation will be of great benefit to health customers.
The Quest Hotel will represent the latest in Quest design and will link up with numerous other Quest Hotels around Australia enhancing the booking arrangements.
“The Quest Hotel is one of the large developments that for some time is taking place in Bairnsdale,” John Dahlsen said.
“The project has a cost of around $21m and will be 60 per cent owned by the Dahlsen family with the balance owned by close associates including Brett Neilson of BFN Developments Pty Ltd.
