The torrential rain that fell in the region over the past seven days unfortunately caused the abandonment of day two of round six of the Bairnsdale Cricket Association.
It was disappointment for several clubs, including St Mary’s Nagle, Meerlieu and Orbost who looked likely to take the maximum share of the points.
There’ll be another competitive round of matches this week, with play again likely to be impacted by the potential rain through Friday and Saturday.
St Mary’s Nagle and Orbost will do battle at Nagle, the Blues keen to keep their recent upward spiral in form going the right way.
Nagle impressed last round and will welcome coach, Andrew Perrin, back this week.
With Luke Endley, Darius Govender, Curtley Farley, skipper Max Welsh, Jayden Price, Mikael and Alex Hulme all finding some touch in recent weeks, the Blues could put together a competitive total that the unpredictable Saints might struggle to chase.
