Perfect weather on Sunday saw a better crowd this year than last at the Bairnsdale racing club’s annual Patties Bairnsdale Cup day of racing.
Club chairman, Greg Beadle, said it was a successful day and racegoers enjoyed plenty of shade with the improved facilities in the public ares.
Race club manager, Scott Ingram, said he was pleased with the online booking system for racegoers and the response to activities for children of racegoers on the day.
The parade of two retired champion racehorses “living legends”, Melbourne Cup winners, Efficient and Prince of Penzance, was well received by ardent racegoers on the day.
Fashions on the field, organised by Jess Odgers, was also a colourful moment for the crowd.
