Fourth Food Van Fiesta

by Bairnsdale Advertiser
14 April 2019
in Local News

Paynesville will come alive this Easter Saturday, April 20, as the fourth annual Food Van Fiesta takes over the foreshore.

Organised by the Rotary Club of Mitchell River and supported by the East Gippsland Shire Council, the fiesta will have something for everyone.

This year’s food vendors include Street Feast, Riviera Meats Catering, The Travelling Squid, The Pizza Truck, Lakes Soft Serve, Bites On Wheels, Two Fat Indians, C’est Chick, Wun Hung Lo Dumpling Co, Tham Dynasty Chinese Restaurant, The Lamb Shack, Little Red Bucket, Great White Buffalo Co, Grill Em Kebabs, Slinky Spuds, Raw Country and Gippsland Gourmet Sausages.

There will also be music throughout the day, initially from the regular Paynesville Foreshore Market musicians and then on the Dahlsens Stage where Gerry Ciavarella will coordinate a musical extravaganza.

This popular event has exceeded expectations to date and very large crowds of locals and visitors are again expected to converge on the foreshore for a day of food and entertainment. Additional temporary parking has been arranged.

“This event is a wonderful opportunity to showcase East Gippsland produce as well as showcasing Paynesville as a beautiful and unique destination to visit,” East Gippsland Shire mayor, Cr Natalie O’Connell, said.

“The fiesta is another example of how council is supporting quality events and partnering with various organisations to ensure that East Gippsland’s reputation as an amazing holiday destination is enhanced and our region is known as a great place to live, work andinvest.”

Patrons are welcome to take deck chairs, sleeping bags and picnic blankets to enjoy the outdoor movie experience.

Event organisers are working with the food vendors, local community and businesses to ensure there is plenty for everyone to enjoy at this year’s event.
