On September 14, students from Lindenow Primary School will participate in the Victorian State Schools Spectacular, an annual event run by the Department of Education.
This event brings together students from across Victoria to perform in a showcase of music, dance, and creative collaboration.
Since April Lindenow students have been working alongside Eagle Point Primary School, rehearsing and preparing to be a part of the Mass Dance Team. Both schools have enjoyed the chance to work together and with the Melbourne
Choreography team each term, which has been a rewarding learning experience for all involved.
In the lead-up to the performance, the students will spend three days in Melbourne, finalising their dance numbers and costumes at John Cain Arena. The theme of this year’s show, Splash, explores creativity through movement and colour.
Lindenow students raised funds for the trip through a cupcake stall and the wider community has supported the event with contributions from the East Gippsland Field Days fundraising effort.
The performance will also be broadcast on commercial TV later in December, giving the students an opportunity to share their hard work with a wider audience.
The school is proud of its students’ hard work and dedication and looks forward to seeing them take part in this special event.
