Round two of Bairnsdale Cricket Association’s “A” grade competition will see some interesting contests while the lower grades and junior competitions get underway.
Reigning “A” grade premier West Bairnsdale will starts its title defence after a round one false start. West takes on Lucknow with the Magpies eager to bounce back after losing to Lakes Entrance.
The Seagulls host St Mary’s Nagle, the Saints keen to hit the ground running boasting a somewhat new-look line up. Lakes will be riding high after a round one victory, however knows the Saints have plenty of firepower.
Orbost will face a stiff test when it welcomes Lindenow South Glenaladale, while Wy Yung takes on Meerlieu at Tigerland. Both the Tussocks and Blues lost their round one battles by nine wickets meaning they will be massive underdogs.
In “A” reserve Lucknow takes on reigning premier West Bairnsdale while Paynesville hosts Metung Swan Reach.
