Christmas Parade

The Bairnsdale Advertiser and Cranes hope the Christmas Parade is going to be bigger and better than ever!

This is an invitation to all community groups, local businesses and individuals to come and join the festivities. All are welcome to enter a float into the parade with a touch of Christmas. They can be traditional floats, cars, bikes, dancing groups and bands.

PARADE PROFILE

A message from you to the awaiting crowd can be conveyed through our commentator.
Please advise what you would like to convey in no more than 60 words and submit it no later than December 6, 2024 to:

Each Christmas Parade participant will be allocated a numbered card which should be attached to the front left hand corner of their float. This number will be matched to their sheet for the parade commentator to read out during the parade.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Please fill in the attached Application Form and submit to the Bairnsdale Advertiser no later than December 6th, 2024. Late applications will not be accepted.

All parades participants should gather on the oval at 754 Primary School (entry from Nicholson Street) from 9.00am to collect their float number and be available for a Safety Briefing at 10.30am. Larger floats may be allocated a specific time slot to enter to assist with traffic management but a representative must be available for the Safety Briefing on the 754 school oval. Please note that toilets are located nearby.

From Nicholson Street the parade will turn right into McCulloch Street, left into Main Street, up to Bailey Street and U-turn, continuing along Main Street returning to the area behind 754 Primary School via the same route. The Parade will finish at approximately 12pm.

Please note: The Parade will begin at 11.00am sharp.

All participating floats must be suitably decorated for the parade, with the theme Green and Gold Christmas.
There is a limit of 3 cars/floats per community group.

Cranes & the Bairnsdale Advertiser have the right to refuse entrants without reason.

All participants must have their own current public liability insurance and submit a copy at the time of entry. Applicants participate in the parade at their own risk. Cranes and the Bairnsdale Advertiser shall not be deemed responsible for any injury to participants or for any damage or loss to property owned by the participants from any cause whatsoever.

Payment must be paid at the time of entry.
