Police are investigating after three steers were found shot dead on a property at Cabbage Tree, near Orbost, recently.
The Angus cattle had been dead for three days in their paddock, which backs onto state forest, when discovered by the property owners.
Neighbours reported hearing gun shots during the night.
The owners of the property say the shootings were “deliberate” with the steers likely staring at the “no good” illegal hunters when they were gunned down.
