It has been a huge week at the Bairnsdale Golf Club with the course utilised on five days last week, attracting huge fields, the players soaking up the outstanding weather.
Tuesday’s medley saw 105 players invade the course, the event won by Beaconhills Golf Course’s Judy Davey who accumulated an impressive 41 stableford points.
Other major winners were Ross Goodman, Geoff Medley, John Patten and Andrew Seedsman.
Wednesday saw 84 women take to the course, with Nadine Martin, taking “A” grade with 38 points, with Sue Plowman successful in “B” grade and Jean Murray the winner of “C” grade.
The biggest field of the week took to the course for Thursday’s men’s stableford, 122 golfers teeing up with Victoria Golf Club’s Garry Black leading all comers, taking out “D” grade with an exceptional 42 points.
Other winners were Brian Wray (“A” grade), Jim Cugley (“B” grade) and Charlie Dumbleton in “C” grade.
Saturday saw 26 women and 97 men in action with par the game of the day.
Ros Pearce was the winner of the ladies with an impressive plus six.
Tim Elliott (“A” grade) led the field home with plus four in the men’s, with other grades won by Chris Savage (“B” grade), Anthony Pagler (“C” grade) and Wayne Reddaway (“D” grade).
Sunday’s men’s and women’s event saw 58 entries, with Jack Hamilton victorious in the men’s with 44 points and Julie Lambert taking the women’s with 39.
