Bairnsdale Rowing Club (BRC) shone at last weekend’s 2025 Barwon Regatta in Geelong.
The regatta held on the picturesque Barwon River saw the BRC compete across 12 events on the one-kilometre course.
The club showcased their talent in the men’s, women’s and mixed categories, achieving notable victories.
Belinda Pownall and Jo Campbell clinched the female “C” grade pairs event, demonstrating their exceptional skill and teamwork.
The female masters coxed four event also saw BRC excel with Jo Campbell, Lynne Broad, Julia Heslop, Belinda Pownall and coxswain Louise Avery securing a well-deserved win.
The club’s success at the regatta is a testament to their dedication and hard work.
For those interested in learning the sport, BRC is offering a “Learn to Row” course starting soon.
This course is perfect for beginners and will take participants from basic rowing machine instructions to rowing on the water, with more information available by visiting the Bairnsdale Rowing Club website or their Facebook page.
