Plenty of golf has been played at the Bairnsdale Golf Club over the past seven days, with the recent rains seeing the course in magnificent condition.
Last Wednesday 84 woman played the par event with the winners being Judi Shearman (“A” grade), Sue Plowman (“B” grade) and Ginny Quist (“C” grade).
On Thursday, 101 members hit the course for a men’s stableford event with winners being Frank Ryan (“A” grade), Doug Law (“B” grade), Ewan McRae (“C” grade) and Craig Hadfield (‘D” grade).
Ryan had the best score of the day an impressive 41 points off a handicap of 13.
Saturday saw 20 ladies and 102 gents hit the course at Eagle Point for 4BBB par.
The winners of the ladies event were Gwen Jackson and Liz Coleman on countback from Carolyn Hine and Cecilia Stewart, both combinations finishing with a score of seven
In the men’s the major prize went the way of Andrew Duck and Brad Campbell on countback from Clive Hull and Michael Brusamarello, on countabcak from Peter Lessels and Warren Prior.
All three pairs finished with a score of 10.
