Mitchell River Rotary Club together with Bairnsdale Neighbourhood House (BNH) wish to thank Stroud Homes for their ongoing support of the amenities trailer.
The trailer provided by the Rotary Club of Mitchell River is a valuable resource in the Bairnsdale Neighbourhood House response to and support the homeless within the community. The amenities trailer, locally built by Jayco, has been at the Neighbourhood House since 2021 and is open and available to the community 24/7. It is a safe place for the homeless to shower, toilet, wash and dry their clothes.
Representing Stroud Homes, Terry Young has expressed the continued support of the amenities trailer initiative covering the costs associated with running this service each month for the next 12 months.
Local community support is vital to Bairnsdale Neighbourhood House dealing with community issues including homelessness and the generosity of Terry and his company is a great example of such community support.
Leanne Jennings, BNH coordinator, when thanking the Rotary Club of Mitchell River and Stroud Homes commented that the amenities trailer “offers dignity and respect to a group within our community that face immeasurable hardship and without the Rotary Club’s commitment to community and the support of companies such as Stroud Homes such a contribution would not be possible”.
