Paynesville GP, Dr Ronald Gwynn, has formally retired.
Dr Gwynn’s departure from the Paynesville Medical Centre is sure to sadden many of those patients he has treated over the years.
Along with his wife, Helen, Dr Gwynn visited Paynesville in 2001 and took up practice the following year after inquiring of the then solo doctor in Paynesville at the time, Dr Peter Lindstedt, if he needed some help.
The answer was a resolute ‘yes’.
The Gwynns had chanced upon Paynesville after Mrs Gwynn, who was heavily invested in golf, had earlier visited the Bairnsdale Golf Club for a women’s golf country tournament.
