STRATFORD
2024 position: Fourth (10 wins)
Coaching panel: Nathan Pollard (senior coach), Glen Van Ruiswyk (reserves coach) and Harry Langford and Luke Nichols (thirds coaches).
Vibe check: Have had good numbers throughout, solid feeling with the boys feeling like they have unfinished business from last season.
Ins: Nathan Pollard, Russell White, Daniel Howe and Griffin Sherritt (all Lindenow South).
Outs: Jack Schultz (East Coast Eagles) and Riley Cottrell (Sale).
Game style: Will be keen to use our youth and pace, get it and back themselves.
Players to watch: Lachie Channing, Ben Dekkers, Harry Langford and Rydon Fulton have all impressed the coach.
Wildcard: Who else but Jack Bacon.
Expectations: “We’ll be aiming for the top four, so then we can test ourselves against the best in the finals,” coach Nathan Pollard said.
Analysis: Pollard is huge get, combined with a fit Jarryd Clohesy, a rejuvenated Reggie Tait and Harry Langford recovered from a shoulder injury, the Swans have the nucleus of something special. Will be looking to get Haydn Erfurth back up forward and firing, which isn’t out of the question or off the table. Never far away but will need to push forward and if they give ground the finals aren’t a given.
