One of the highlights of the season of action at the Bairnsdale Golf Bowls Club is the annual Golf/Bowls Challenge which was played recently.
Both golfers and bowlers combine with teams of four playing nine holes of golf, followed by lunch, and 12 ends of bowls.
Despite some early rain, the event still attracted a great field of 96 players.
The overall winners were Kelvin Brown, Lois Kurrle, Sue and Don Kuch.
Golf event winners were Lakes Entrance’s Wally Martin, Julie Rowe, Jacinta Wilson and Graham Watson, while the bowling winners were Dennis Burns, Joe Weiland, Alan Schwenneson and Garry Williams.
Players already looking forward to next years event.
