By wearing blue this Friday, May 9, both Nagle College and St Mary’s Primary School will be raising awareness and vital funds for Dolly’s Dream — an organisation committed to preventing bullying and supporting those affected by it.
Together, we hope to help ensure that no other family has to experience the heartbreak that bullying
can cause.
The Nagle student leadership team is working hard behind the scenes to plan a full week of “blue activities” in the lead-up to May 9. This will include a bake sale, butterfly fingerprint painting, coin toss, raffle, merchandise sales and an out of uniform “blue” day.
These events are designed to raise awareness, spark meaningful conversations, and unite our school community in support of Dolly’s Dream and its mission to
end bullying.
One special event that joins together Nagle College and St Mary’s Primary is the challenge of colouring 1200 butterflies to place on the school oval on May 9 in honour of Dolly.
Nagle is especially proud that some of its staff and students had the honour of being involved in the filming of the 2025 Dolly’s Dream campaign. It was a truly meaningful experience, with those involved being fortunate to meet Dolly’s parents, Tick and Kate Everett, who inspired the group with their strength and advocacy.
Nagle’s community has supported Dolly’s Dream since 2022, and that commitment continues into 2025. Nagle College has raised more than $9000 in support of this important cause, demonstrating its ongoing dedication to creating a kinder and more compassionate world for young people.
