Kennedy’s Trailers talented and now qualified boilermaker, Reuben Pinkerton, has taken out the silver medal in Construction Steel Work at the WorldSkills Australia 2025 National Championship held in Brisbane last week.
The competition hosts more than 600 competitors across 60 trades and takes place over three intense days, Reuben going head-to-head with 15 other top talents in the country from across all states.
Eoin John of Perth North took out the gold medal with Tasmanian Liam Eccles claiming the bronze.
The finalists were tasked with following technical drawings to produce an acid tank and frame.
Reuben said it was quite stressful with lots of people around, with over 16,000 spectators passing through over the duration of the competition.
“Reuben, we’re super proud of your incredible achievement and we’re lucky to have you. Congratulations,” the team at Kennedy’s said.
Reuben was one of three medallists for TAFE Gippsland with Tom Harms claiming gold in the electrical installation category, and Abby Jeffs silver in the electrical control category.
