The Stratford Courthouse Theatre will hold another of a series of Sunday Sippers events on September 14, featuring The Mafeking Hillbillies.
The Mafeking Hillbillies are an acoustic duo made up of brother and sister Steve Laws and Liz Wakely.
Their folky/country material features sibling harmonies and a mixture of original material, often telling local stories and covers of artists including Hank Williams, The Ozark Mountain Daredevils, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, The Byrds and Dolly Parton.
The bar will be open serving a range of local wine, beers and ciders.
If the weather is favourable the show will be held outside on the Peppercorn Stage at the rear of the theatre. Otherwise it’ll be inside with tables and chairs rather than the tiered seating bank.
Take a bunch of friends and enjoy the relaxed vibe of these sessions.
This is a free event supported by Creative Victoria through the 10,000 Gigs Victorian Gigs Fund.
