Bairnsdale Field and Game Association held its monthly shoot last Sunday with 78 competitors partaking in a novelty version of English Sporting.
The weather was warm and breezy with the targets keeping the participants thinking.
Winners were Lee Marriott (“AA”), Mark Hadden (“A”), Heydan Cook (“B”), David Lay (“C”), Josh Mackenzie (sub junior), Cooper Allan (junior), Maddi Graske (women) and Jim Wood (veterans).
Cooper Allan took home the jackpotted $200 door prize, while Les Caldwell won the half case.
The association was thankful to those who travelled to make it to the shoot and the volunteers that made time available to set up and run the shoot, maintain the ground and run Friday practice – they are the lifeblood of the club and they could always do with additional help if anyone can spare some time.
Practice is currently being held every Friday from 3pm (weather permitting), with the next shoot on September 14.
