A lot of planning and hard work goes into achieving premiership success, something that isn’t lost on Wy Yung Football Netball Club president, Craig Radford.
Not surprisingly, he was all smiles in the rooms after the game, achieving ultimate success in his second year at the helm.
Radford was full of praise for coach Brodie Anderson and the squad.
“Brodie has done a great job putting the team together. There is outstanding comradeship and they play with that never-give-up spirit,” Radford said.
It was Wy Yung’s second flag in three years and the future looks rosy with the club recently appointing a thirds coach for 2026.
“We have a young list with most now being dual premiership players at senior level,” Radford said.
“It’s great to have appointed Shane Jackson for 2026 with player numbers already evolving nicely.”
The Tigers struggled for reserves players at times in 2025, but a thirds side is seen as the ideal way to ensure a good strong supply of young and enthusiastic players.
