The Omeo and District Agricultural and Pastoral Show is back on this weekend after a two year absence.
Pandemic restrictions meant the show was unable to be staged in 2020 and 2021.
Much like the adage, ‘absence makes the heart grow fonder,’ the organising committee concedes excitement is building around this year’s event as locals eagerly await the show’s return.
“There’s definitely a little bit of energy and enthusiasm back now and everyone is looking forward to it,” president of the show committee, Lisa Lee, told the Advertiser last week.
Ms Lee said the decision to not proceed with the show last year was out of an abundance of caution.
