Riviera Christian Centre is once again lighting up Halloween night with its beloved annual event, Light Night, set to take place this Friday, October 31, at 103 Bairnsdale-Dargo Road.
Designed as a wholesome and family-friendly alternative to traditional Halloween festivities, Light Night offers a vibrant, safe, and inclusive space for children and families to celebrate together—without the spooky or scary elements.
Following last year’s success, the event promises another evening filled with joy, laughter, and community spirit.
The free festival begins at 5.30pm, welcoming children aged 12 and under to enjoy a wide range of activities.
Kids are encouraged to come dressed in their favourite costumes, with organisers kindly requesting that families avoid scary or violent themes to help maintain a light and welcoming atmosphere.
Entertainment will be in full swing with Wacky Wombat, a crowd-favourite known for his energetic and interactive performances. Children can enjoy jumping castles, face painting, a live band, and a photobooth to capture fun family moments throughout the evening. For those feeling peckish, food trucks and a classic Aussie sausage sizzle will be available for purchase, offering plenty of tasty options for families to enjoy together.
The excitement continues with dance party and glowlight sessions scheduled for 5.45pm and 6.45pm, giving kids a chance to move, groove, and celebrate in style. Costume prizes will be awarded to the most creative outfits — within the friendly guidelines—and there will be giveaways and plenty of lollies to keep the fun going.
Light Night is more than just an event; it’s a celebration of community, joy, and faith. It’s a chance for families to come together in a safe and uplifting environment, creating lasting memories and sharing in the spirit of the season.
