Nicholson Angling Club recently held round 13 of its seasonal competition with 71 bream entered and then released.
The longest bream was caught be Ariane Allen (41 centimetres), with the longest string of five fish going the way of Nicholas Day (186 centimetres).
The longest men’s bream was landed by Darren Dennys (40.5 centimetres), with the longest on bait, caught by Flynn McKenzie (38 centimetres).
In the coveted longest other species was Blair Bryant’s 52 centimetre flathead prevailed.
Junior winners included Riley Whelan (40 centimetres) and Noah Roderick (37 centimetres).
Secret weight winners were Nikki Bryant, Richard Allen, Jack Hume and Ruth Beeby.
The next competition is on January 10-11, 2026.
