The festive spirit is set to take over Stratford as the town gears up for its annual Community Christmas Carols on Sunday, December 7.
Taking place at Stratford Apex Park on McMillan Street, the event promises an affordable evening of family entertainment, kicking
off at 4pm.
Proudly sponsored by the Wellington Shire Council and supported by Marathon Electrical and Stratford First Scouts, the event is split into two distinct sections to cater to all ages.
The festivities begin with Family Fun Time from 4pm to 5pm.
Organisers have ensured the event remains accessible to everyone, with free entry and a host of complimentary activities for children, including jumping castles and fairy floss.
Santa Claus will make a special appearance to hand out lollies, and families can enjoy a sausage sizzle, with vegetarian and gluten-free options available.
Free bottles of water will also
be provided.
From 6pm to 8pm, the park will glow with safe LED candles for the musical portion of the evening.
The program features a secular lineup of Christmas songs and performances by well-known local artists.
The stage will showcase a variety of talent, including The Stratford Singers, the Overcoming Obstacles Group, Foothills Music, and Julie Ward’s Choir.
The younger generation will also be well represented with items performed by Stratford Primary School, St Patrick’s Primary School, and the Stratford Scouts.
Attendees are encouraged
to bring their own rugs and
folding chairs to settle in on the grass, though some seating will be available.
In the event of inclement weather, the celebration will be moved indoors to the Stratford Mechanics Hall.
With something for everybody, the community is warmly invited to attend.
