The Bairnsdale Cricket Association round 10 fixture between St Mary’s Nagle and Lindenow South Glenaladale at Nagle College will continue on as a two day fixture after the 25-over threshold was eclipsed on day one.
Nagle will resume at 3/65 after 26 overs with its best two batsmen at the crease, skipper Rick Tatnell (35 from 64) and the explosive Brayden McCarrey (12 from 25). The pair have already added 18.
A lot rests on their shoulders with Nagle’s tail having struggled for runs in season 2025/26.
Mel Irish has taken 2/18 for the Bulls and Nathan King 1/16.
Obviously the Saints will be keen to push on and use as many of the remaining 54 overs as possible, hoping to set the Bulls a competitive run chase, which requires as high as possible run rate and increases the level of risk and likelihood of wickets falling.
The Bulls will fancy themselves of knocking their opponent over cheaply if they can break the existing partnership quickly.
Lindenow South Glenaladale’s batting line up contains talented players such as Scott Dare, Scott Davidson, Logan Dunkley, Haydn Erfurth, Sam Howden, Nathan King and Seth Smith so the home side will need to bat well to force or a draw or claim an unlikely win.
