Bairnsdale will come alive on Monday, January 26, 2026, as the Bairnsdale Classic Car Club hosts its Australia Day Free Breakfast at the Rotunda on Main Street, starting at 7.30am.
The morning kicks off with a hearty free breakfast of bacon and eggs on toast, accompanied by coffee, tea and cold drinks, giving the community a chance to gather and celebrate together.
Adding to the festivities, East Gippsland Brass will perform live, while residents share their thoughts on what Australia Day means to them.
The event will also feature the presentation of awards for Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year and Community Event of the Year, along with other special recognitions.
Organisers encourage everyone to come along, enjoy the program and join in the celebrations, reflecting on the achievements and contributions of local residents and the broader community.
“This is a day to be proud of what we have achieved in this wonderful country,” club secretary Peter Petrovich said.
“We are all part of the story.”
