Approximately 100 people attended the Lindenow Lions Club breakfast at the Lindenow hall on Australia Day last Monday morning.
Following the breakfast, which was prepared by Lions Club member Anton of the Long Paddock, awards were presented to local primary school children for their poems about Australia Day.
East Gippsland Shire Councillor, John White was the speaker for the main address for the morning and stressed how fortunate we all are to be living in East Gippsland.
A citizen of the year award was presented to Linda Rolfe, who has worked tirelessly over the past few years coordinating the monthly Lindenow Markets and raising more than $30,000 for ongoing upgrades to the Lindenow Hall.
