The Bairnsdale parkrun continues to attract impressive crowds, even with the holiday period over and life returning to normal in the region.
Last Saturday’s event saw 110 participants, including 10 first-timers, with 14 runners achieving new personal bests. The field included representatives from five different clubs.
The run was led home by Ethan Sanderson in 19 minutes three seconds, with Mikhaila Bromwich (20.50) the first female across the line. New personal bests were also recorded by Zac Tepper (19.27), Angus Tanner (19.29), Eunchul Jung (21.52), Cody Jack (21.57), Jay Symons (23.25), George Brady (26.55), Carrie Priestly (30.50), Brooke Monshing (32.28), Kelly Lancaster (34.11), Emily Junge (38.03), Dale Knaggs (38.03), Robbie Hebbard (41.53), Rachael Sullivan (56.23) and Jaxen Ross (56.23).
Clubs represented included Knox Triathlon Club, Riviera Triathlon Club, Derek Zoolander Centre for Kids Who Can’t Run Good, Wild Dog Triathlon Club and East Gippsland Runners.
The Bairnsdale parkrun departs at 8am every Saturday and is open to participants of all abilities.
