Recently the Metung Yacht Club conducted heat two of the JC Bull three-race series, which was also the final heat in the Club Championship.
The division one boats were also contesting the final heat in the Etchells scratch series.
The course chosen was course seven, laid out in Bancroft Bay, with a club start leaving the marker to starboard.
All other markers were left to port, with wind easterly, shifting to east south east throughout the race.
The first leg was on an axis of 095, with the windward/leeward leg 0.8 nautical miles, the axis was changed to 105 and leg two shortened to 0.7 nautical miles.
The third leg of the race was left at that axis, but shortened again, to 0.6 nautical miles.
Nine yachts contested the race, five Etchells in division one, and four mixed keelboats in division two.
First across the finish line and first in division one was Leading Edge (Fred Haes, Michael Brown and Will Crooke), while Tarakona (Hugh Howard, Tim Brown and Tony Peterson) led the field home in division two
The results on handicapped (adjusted) times, saw Etchellente (Damien Daniel, Dean Smith and Stephen Richardson) first, from AUS1292 and Odyssey, which was the same result declared for heat two of the JC Bull trophy and heat 10 of the Club Championship.
The Club Championship was declared on a count back, after Harmony and Leading Edge tied for top spot on the series table, with Leading Edge declared the winner, from Harmony and Elusive.
In the final race in the Etchells scratch series, Leading Edge was successful from Etchellente and AUS1292, giving Leading Edge the series from Elusive, Etchellente, Odyssey and AUS1292.

Last week in midweek twilight sailing, the team aboard Sail A Vie (Darren Knights, Roger Claydon, Lauren Baker and Tony Doolan) were successful.
The event attracted a field of seven yachts in Bancroft Bay in very light winds, one to four knots.
The course chosen was leaving the start mark to starboard, all other marks to port, with a club start to Bell’s Point, return to the club start/finish line.
Conditions deteriorated throughout the race, forcing the retirement of six craft, the crew on board Sail A Vie determinedly finished the race.
