Shooting returned to the Buchan Precision Rifle Club last Saturday, with a dedicated but small crew braving the biting winter cold.
Despite a smaller muster than normal for the NRL22 Course of Fire (COF) event, the competition remained fierce on the range. The usual suspects found themselves at the pointy end of the field by the conclusion of the main events, with Matt Cunningham claiming the top spot ahead of runners-up Warwick Smith and Tim Marshall.
Even when the optional bonus stage was factored into the final standings, the order at the top held strong. Cunningham maintained his advantage to emerge victorious once again over Smith, while Shannon Hederman rounded out the top three.
The club’s focus now shifts to its next competitive shoot, which is scheduled to be held on August 8.
