More than 25 members of the Bairnsdale Classic Car Club recently hit the road for their latest social outing, enjoying morning tea at Rustic River Eats.
Attendees were treated to exceptional, friendly service from the staff, with the venue’s scones and high-quality coffee proving a major hit with the motoring enthusiasts.
The gathering featured guest speaker Sergeant Connor Summer-Foster from the Bairnsdale Police Station, who provided an insightful briefing on the current challenges facing local law enforcement.
Sgt Summer-Foster covered a broad spectrum of community topics, prompting an interactive Q&A session with club members.
The discussion touched on several prominent local issues, including the clarity of roadside speed signs, single white line overtaking regulations, the presence of tents at the town rotunda and recent graffiti trends around Bairnsdale.
Each query was thoroughly addressed by Sgt Summer-Foster, whose engaging and informative presentation was highly appreciated by the group.
Bairnsdale Classic Car Club president Valerie Curtis formally thanked Sgt Summer-Foster for delivering an excellent and valuable community address.
