The 2026 Omeo District Football Netball League (ODFNL) will host its annual vote count night at the Buchan Football Netball Club social rooms on Saturday, August 8.
The official proceedings will kick off immediately following the elimination final, beginning with the under 17 netball count at 4.30pm.
The schedule continues with junior football at 4.45pm, “B” grade netball at 5pm, and “A” grade netball at 5.15pm, before culminating in the senior football vote count at 5.35pm. The league’s volunteer of the year award will also be presented during the evening at 5.30pm.
The ODFNL has formally issued invitations to key contenders across all grades.
Senior football invitees include Harley Kenner, Dylan Somerville, Lucas Lakay, Brenden Flinn, Wil Matthews and Nicholas Ward (Bruthen); Jock Coates, Tyson Siddle and Connor McCormack (Buchan); Jayke Kuhnell and Samual Howden (Lindenow South); Brandon Betts, Campbell Ahsam, Tarquin Crosby and Jai Hayward (Omeo Benambra); alongside Beau Hack, Jay Robbie, Brodie Cameron, Andrew Hatch, Conor Harvey, Andrew Sandy and Campbell Moresi (Swifts Creek).
In the junior football, contenders invited to attend include Kobe Collis and Conner Anderson (Bruthen); Jett Anderson (Buchan); Jack Kerslake, Nate Hare, Kalen Fry and Mitchell Preston (Lindenow South); Oaklee Pearce, Xavier Hill, Tyler Mitchell, James O’Keefe, George Hill and Mitchell Naylor (Omeo Benambra); and Jake Sheean and James Andrews (Swifts Creek).
“A” grade netball features a strong list of nominees, led by Hannah Calvert, Bethany Thompson, Hannah Healey and Stephanie Hood (Bruthen); Alanna Jones, Markeisha Ingram, Remmie Cockrell and Renee Solomon (Buchan); Kiarra Curtis and Brittney Kenny (Lindenow South); Indi Ahsam, Georgina Gray, Natalie Mitchell, Emma Pahl, Emma Bates and Sophie Ahsam (Omeo Benambra); and Tess George, Perry Elliott, Lily McCole, Lydia Overend, Olivia Walker and Tahlia Stewart (Swifts Creek).
In “B” grade, expected to yield another tight finish, invitations have been extended to Rachael Forrest, Sophie Kennedy, Melissa Kennedy, Rachel Kennedy and Alishia Stephens (Bruthen); Lyric Anderson, Shae Reynolds, Tracey Cross and Rachelle Gray (Buchan); Rebecca Armstrong, Emily Ford, Kathy Whittingham, Jaylah-Storm Connelly and Abbie Riley (Lindenow South); Jade Clark, Jenna Jones, Sally Duguid, Tori Betts and Kate Mitchell (Omeo Benambra); and Jessie Demeter, Bec Hammond and Zoe Hill (Swifts Creek).
Rounding out the junior netball, the under 17 award will come from a group including Hayden Stephens, Frances Prior, Kyah Hood, Alexis Forbes and Ruby Stevens (Bruthen); Hannah Smith and Ava Duguid (Buchan); Abbie Riley, Lil Britton and Ella Hare (Lindenow South); Holly Mitchell, Mila Ayton, Erin Lee, Chloe Mitchell, Bella Brodribb and Ella Veldhuizen (Omeo Benambra); and Marilyn Fenton, Ella Carroll, Jordana Bullock, Matilda Sheean, and Frankie Andrews (Swifts Creek).
