Swan Reach Football Netball Club is setting its sights on a return to competition in the Omeo District Football Netball League for the 2027 season following a pivotal annual general meeting.
Stephen Cole, who was slated to coach the club in 2026, has been appointed president.
Joining him on the newly formed executive are vice president Tony Hardiman, secretary Tracey Robertson and treasurer Callie Youngs.
Acknowledging the recent hurdles the club has faced, the incoming committee emphasised that past difficulties have only highlighted how deeply the Swan Reach Swans are valued across the local community.
The new leadership group has outlined a shared vision focused on rebuilding connections, fostering a welcoming club environment and prioritising a positive culture for players, volunteers and supporters alike.
Beyond immediate operations, committee members view the upcoming period as an opportunity to unify the community and lay strong foundations for the future.
The executive is extending an invitation to past players, lifelong supporters, parents, local businesses and new volunteers to get involved in the rebuilding process.
While acknowledging the work ahead, the newly elected committee remains confident that with strong local backing, the Swans’ best days are yet to come.
