Paynesville Cricket Club has laid strong foundations for the upcoming Bairnsdale Cricket Association season, announcing five coaching appointments across its senior, junior and women’s programs.
Isaac Love has been re-appointed as senior coach. Bringing extensive Gippsland cricket experience and on-field success, Love’s practical leadership and passion for the Gulls will continue to drive player development across the club.
At the junior level, Rodney Clack takes the reins of the under 16 side. A fixture at Paynesville since the early 1990s — progressing from junior ranks to senior premiership success — Clack brings more than a decade of junior coaching experience and an unwavering commitment to developing young talent.
The under 13 squad will be led by co-coaches Wayne Richards and Will Geisler. Richards, a Cricket Australia Advanced Accredited Coach and Paynesville senior premiership player, returns to the role after guiding both the Gulls’ under 13s and the GCL U13s in 2025/26. Geisler, who played for the club from 1996 to 2010 before returning in 2023 following stints in Cobram/Barooga and Leongatha, brings fresh energy focused on skill growth and team unity.
Casey Jack has been named coach of the women’s team. A lifelong Gull who started at the club at age 10, Jack returns to Paynesville after time away captaining and coaching in New South Wales. Drawing on his interstate experience and lessons from past club champions, Jack aims to build development, connection and culture within the women’s program.
With the five appointments locked in, the Gulls are confident the groundwork is in place for a successful 2026/27 campaign.
