With the arrival of September, Picnic Point Reserve is once again preparing to host its annual spring bush fairy project.
This year, organisers are aiming to construct an entire fairy village, complete with several miniature shops, so that the fictional residents do not have to travel to buy their necessary items.
Local families, children and community members are being invited to assist with the building process.
To find the building location, visitors can follow the designated directional signs placed along the river side of the road running through the reserve.
A variety of building materials have been supplied on-site for the public to use.
Participants are reminded that because bush fairies prefer their homes to be well-camouflaged, only natural materials should be used for the construction of the dwellings and shops.
The spring initiative follows a highly successful project last year, which brought significant enjoyment to both the local builders and visitors of the reserve.
Organisers hope this year’s setup will grow into an even larger community project, fostering outdoor creativity and connection with nature throughout the spring season.
