A local school has issued a notification to parents and carers following the suspension and arrest of a former casual relief teacher.
The Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) suspended the former educator following allegations of inappropriate communications and interactions with students, which breached the school’s child safety code of conduct.
The individual was also recently charged with an offence related to child abuse material.
The former staff member was engaged at the school as a casual relief teacher between March 2025 and March 2026.
