Patties Foods has been named as the ‘Food on the Go Supplier of the Year’ at the Australasian Association of Convenience Stores in Melbourne recently.
Bairnsdale based Patties Foods beat Mrs Macs and Handmade Food Co., to clinch the award.
More than 650 people from the Australian convenience industry celebrated their achievements at a gala awards dinner.
Patties General Manager of ‘Out of Home’, Matt Dodson, said he was thrilled Patties Food had picked up the prestigious accolade.
“Winning ASCS Supplier of the Year among the industry’s leading retailers and suppliers is a proud moment for Patties’ Foods and the Bairnsdale team,” Mr Dodson said.
“Over the last 12 months, we have challenged the ‘frozen food is boring’ paradigm to evolve Patties brands in line with consumers demand for more premium offerings.”
“Winning ‘Supplier of the Year’ is a testament to how Patties’ consumer led insights initiatives is helping drive positive change for the industry,” Mr Dodson said.
Patties recently relaunched Herbert Adams and acquired Boscastle.
As a result of the Bairnsdale team’ s efforts, the Herbert Adams re-launch has resulted in double digit growth for the brand at 31.9 per cent for the latest quarter.
Patties’ top line sales are up 12 per cent while bottom line sales have grown 60 per cent, signifying a flow on effect of the marketing functions’ efforts in the in and out of home space.
